Jack Albert-Emeny Cripps
BA Fine Art, Liverpool Hope University
Artist based in Ipswich, Suffolk
Drawing and painting are at the heart of what I do. I do occasionally play around with textiles, found objects, conceptualism and participatory art; but I'm always brought back to the humble pencil and paintbrush.
My biggest inspiration is nature; the landscapes, moths, birds, the seasons and the weather all give me the fire to create work.
Throughout university, I begun to explore experiential themes like cognition, language, human emotions and the queer experience; which gave me a deeper appreciation for abstract and conceptual approaches to art.
Making art and being an artist is just what I do and who am I.
A collection of my originals and limited edition prints are stocked at LoveOne in Ipswich.
